Kari Samantha (born April 28, 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer first began her acting career as a teenager. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. The youngest of three siblings. She was a teenage singer who performed in clubs and hid from her family to do so. Kari Samantha Wuhrer, an American actress and model, was born in the town of Brookfield, Connecticut on the 28th of April 1967. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April She was raised in the town. Her mother is a payroll accountant and her father, German-American, is a policeman and auto salesperson. Kari was born in an extended family that included four members. In her teens was a nightclub singer, she would sing while slipping out to do a show. Kari began studying acting when she was just 13 years old. Her next stage of study was drama at Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, with Uta Hagen, who is a well-known instructor. Kari got into acting while she was still in the teen years. Kari got her first big break with MTV Remote Control in 1987.
