Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback singer, actress and musician. The majority of her work comes focused on Tamil or Malayalam-language films. She first made an appearance as an actor in Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah, born into an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's father is a lawyer in the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is a Belgian research assistant who is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah was born in Chennai. He went to National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. She has said that she was quite a geek and wanted to be a psychiatrist until she completed the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea learned classical piano when she was eight. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style band that Andrea joined at 10-years-old. It led to her debut singing career as well as her first music composition. At her university she also was a theater artist and performed in stage shows produced by The Madras Players. She was the President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her acting career as a young actress acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo coffee commercial alongside actor Shiva in 2006. The actress also appeared in a television show that aired on Podhigai. The actress performed all over India. She performed a very brief role in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 final episode. Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea to portray a lead character after she sang in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed with Andrea playing Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in a sexual affair and gets targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was chosen for the part after Simran and Tabu both actresses were contacted by the producers. It was first released in early 2010. In 2011, she agreed to play a minor supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha, which released in August 2011, In 2013, she began her career in Malayalam cinema by playing Rajeeev Ravi's love movie Annayum Rasoolum.
